The Texas House will vote on HB 2187 on today, April 30, 2025. The bill would significantly improve Texas nurse staffing law and prohibition on mandatory overtime by closing gaps in enforcement, improving anti-retaliation protections for nurses, improving compliance data reporting, and creating a new complaint system for nurses to file complaints with the state.
